A new way to fish
Meet Kirby
An autonomous lobster tracking system to determine the state of a lobster trap. It removes the need to pull up empty traps to check on them. Fishermen need a new system to monitor their catches.
The Eyes
Kirby's eyes are two infrared sensors. These sensors emit and receive infrared light like a bat.
The Brain
An ATMEGA328P does the thinking for Kirby. It takes the info from the eyes and finds out if anything's there.
The Body
Kirby's body is filled with marine grade epoxy with a 3D printed PLA outer shell.
